Chili Prawns recipe

Ingredients:

1 kilogram of prawns, raw.
1 teaspoon of salt.
1 teaspoon of caster sugar.
2 teaspoons of crushed garlic.
2 tablespoons of chili sauce.
1 teaspoon of curry powder.
1 teaspoon of turmeric.
1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
2 teaspoons of vegetable oil.
1 tablespoon of butter.
1 medium onions, finely diced.

Directions:

Shell and devein the prawns, clean and pat dry.

Combine the prawns with the salt, caster sugar, crushed garlic, chili sauce, curry powder, turmeric, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Toss to coat and let rest for 30 minutes.

Drain the prawns thoroughly.

Heat the 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil in a pan.

Once hot, add prawns and cook quickly on each side for 1 minute.

Add the marinade, butter and diced onion; toss to coat prawns.

Cook for 1 minutes more.
